A little About me and how it all started:
Hello there, my name is Justin. I live right here in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona and would like to tell you a little about myself and why I do what I do for the good of all families with terminally ill children.
Video storytelling is a passion for me. I absolutely love working with charities, small businesses, families and these little blessings we call children. I began this journey in 2006 while working as a deputy sheriff in Utah. If you ask a priest why he became one, you'll probably get a response like..."It was a calling for me that I just knew", or... "I felt the calling down to my soul, that this is what I'm supposed to do"... A Wish Remembered videos I've found is my true calling, passion, and desire. I love working with the parents and doing my professional best in giving them a recorded piece of their son or daughters "Best day Ever"...to be viewed and cherished for the rest of their lives.
It started while on patrol on day, I felt like I honestly had "MY CALLING" after driving past the Make-A-Wish office, there in Utah, I honestly had a moment that told me this is what I needed to do. And after working with the Utah Make-A-Wish Foundation on my first film project, I was forever hooked...and have never looked back. I'm a single father, and live here with my daughter who often helps me on these projects while she's in nursing school. I love being a dad, and can understand to some degree what the families I've done video's for are going through. Each one has turned into a friendship that I will cherish forever.
A man once told me in conversation while on duty that I was..."Doing the Lords work, and to keep it up!!!", and after he left and drove off, I began to think about what he'd said after we talked, and just who he was as a complete stranger to me, and the more I did, the more I knew he was probably right...was I visited by an angel???, or someone else, you decide.
Thank you so much for reading my short bio. I'd love to hear from you with any ideas, suggestions or comments. We're all in this together, so follow my blog and see what's going on here at Everwood and A Wish Remembered...Thank you!
